Welcome to the Terwillegar Towne Residents Association!
Who Are We & Who Do We Serve?
The TTRA is a private, not-for-profit association operated for the long-term benefit of its member residents. We are governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, elected by fellow residents at the Annual General Meeting.
Membership is automatic and mandatory for owners of all properties within the areas designatied "Traditional Neighbourhood Design" (see Community Map). The TTRA owns various neighbourhood amenities, maintenance of which is paid for through membership fees. Restrictive covenants and encumbrances are registered on all lot titles within these boundaries.
Current Hot Topic - TTRA Parcels Sold to the City - Update
Terwillegar Towne Residents Association is in the process of selling all properties currently owned by TTRA, except for the Toboggan hill, Tot lot, and the small entrance features on 23rd avenue and Towne Centre Boulevard, to the city of Edmonton. The city would then be responsible for maintaining the parcels they took over; this frees both Terwilleger residents from paying taxes and the TTRA to concentrate energies on the properties actually of value to residents. TTRA's president and vice president have already signed the agreement transferring ownership of the ten parcels of land to the city. The transaction is expected to be finalized before December 21, 2011.
